The jumper cables are colored black and red with each end having alligator clips made of copper that attach the leads of each car s battery.
Black battery cable positive or negative.
The negative battery cable is almost always black in color.
Identify a metal ground.
Recognize that the black wire is the positive one the white wire is the negative one and the green wire is the ground.
Identify the black positive wire on a ceiling light fixture.
When you re hanging a chandelier or any other ceiling light first find the 3 wires coming out of the hole in the ceiling where the light will go.

Ensure that the connections on both ends are secure by trying to move the battery around.
